Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Three broken coffee makers
I purchased this coffee maker last weekend. When I got it home it failed to work at all. I took it back to the store and replaced it with a new one. Brought it home and it failed to complete a brewing cycle. Called KitchenAid to complain and they convinced me to allow them to send a replacement. Got it yesterday. Not even the model I had bought. You guessed it, it didn't work correctly either. I'm returning both coffee makers for a refund.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - If you like coffee grinds in your coffee this is the coffee maker for you!
We purchased this coffee maker because we thought "hey this is a kitchen aid it will work great". We were WRONG. We have already had the coffee maker replaced by the company (they were very happy to make the exchange) however, the new coffee maker has the same problems as the old one. It constantly overflows or clogs. No matter what coffee we use, the courseness of the grinds, the filter, none of it matters, it still clogs or overflows. This is by far the WORST coffee maker we have EVER had.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Why didn't I listen?
I read the reviews of this product before I purchased it and saw the complaints about the low brew temperature. They are correct! The coffee is luke warm. (and so you can guage, I consider Starbucks to be scalding hot.) KitchenAid recommends that you pre-heat the carafe with hot water, but then what is the use of the timer? Anyway I tried and saw little difference. I had KitchenAid send me another unit. It was no better, so both are going back.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - This Coffee is NOT so HOT
We wouldn't typically spend so much on a coffee maker, but we bought one of these coffeemakers with Starbucks gift cards my wife was given over the holidays (she's a teacher, so she gets a lot!). We do like kitchenaid stuff and this seemed like an worthy extravagance.

The reviews here are right, though- and elsewhere - that the coffee just isn't made very hot, and doesn't stay hot for long. We've tried lots of changes, and we even stopped using the programmer so we could try to drink it fresh, but it still turns out lukewarm, not nearly as good as the old, simpler coffeemaker we had. This model has a well-deserved reputation, and we'll be rid of it soon.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - KITCHENAID Thermal coffee maker
Works well but I like my coffee a little hotter than this makes.
