Product Description:
The Capresso Infinity 565 uses the same burrs as found in fully automatic commercial machines. An advanced conical burr design and gear reduction motor creates less friction and heat, preserving maximum flavor and aroma in any grind setting. Slow grinding minimizes static build-up for superior taste. This professional-grade coffee grinder is for the connoisseur that appreciates the simply sophisticated palate of tastes that can result from selected and freshly ground coffee beans. Upper conical burr is removable for easy cleaning Tight fitting ground coffee container (holds up to 4 oz. of ground coffee) See through bean container holds up to 8.8 oz. of beans Timer can be set to grind from 5 to 60 seconds 110 Volts AC Brushed Chrome Finish

Amazon.com:
For grinding larger quantities of coffee beans for a coffee-drinking crowd, Capresso’s commercial-grade Infinity grinder handles 8-1/2 ounces of beans at a time. Sixteen different settings--four each in the four categories of extra fine, fine, regular, and coarse--let you adjust the grind to the specific blend of coffee and method of brewing. The finest setting is ideal for preparing Turkish coffee, which is a rare feature to find in a grinder. A built-in timer sets the grind for anywhere between 5 and 60 seconds so you can walk away without having to constantly press a button to continue the grinding process. The Infinity has an advanced conical burr design made of steel that is usually only found on commercial grinders. This burr design slows down the gears and reduces the amount of friction and heat to preserve coffee’s flavor and aroma. The coffee container holds up to 4 ounces of grounds and remains sealed during grinding. For safety, the bean container also needs to be locked into place for the Infinity to operate. Also, fo easy cleaning, the bean container and upper burr lift off so you can clean the grinding chamber with the included brush and wipe down the and heavy-duty zinc die-cast housing. Capresso covers this burr grinder under a one-year limited warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Totally Impressed
I read the reviews before purchasing this grinder and compared it to another grinder that I was considering. Based on the reviews, I went with this one. I made a batch of ice coffee and right away noticed the improvement in the flavor. I use a french press to make my coffee, the coarse grind is perfect and I had less issues in pushing down the plunger filter compared to when I was using a blade grinder. If you want better tasting coffee, go with this grinder.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Changed my life
This grinder is excellent. It's easy to maintain and easy to use. I will never go back to the blade type grinder. Only complaint is the timer switch. They should replace it with a simple on/off switch. Be careful not to try to turn the timer switch off before it's finished, it will break. I clean the hopper after every pound of coffee I grind, which seems adequate. The instructions say to clean it after every use which is just not feasible.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great Burr!!!
Yes, the starbucks oily bean is very full of static! Changed beans one day and no static!!!!

I clean every two weeks. But will run the brush up the shoot to keep it unclogged. I doubt it will because of the low velocity.

I used it in the recommended setting for drip and am very happy with the result!

We a a differnt Capresso model but returned it after it jammed up. This one costs double but it seems a much superior design.

very happy! The result is great!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Customer Service for parts non existent
I have been trying to get a replacement bean container for my Infinity brushed chrome model, since my Visa card was charged 30 January. After waiting for shipment for ten days via post office, I telephoned and emailed, telling them that postal delivery to Maine from N.J. should have arrived. I was told that processing time was two to three days and wait another few days. When I did this and requested a replacement, I was told that the order would be sent by U.P.S., if I would provide a U.P.S. address, which I did. After waiting a week for U.P.S., I emailed today, about the problem, telling them I would complain to potential customers if I didn't receive the order by this Friday. Tonight I got an email stating that the order somehow was lost at the warehouse, but they would send it out today. Be forewarned of an "Oh well" attitude if you don't get the right person in Customer Service. The grinder works very, very well but you have to clean it each and every time, flawlessly. Mine clogged and I couldn't get the upper burr assembly free, and this is what broke the bean container when I removed it. Celeste of Customer Service helped me with this over the phone, but my replacement order has still not been delivered, and I am out of home ground coffee! Ha, ha!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - No Complaints + a tip for using blade grinders
I have the shiny chrome version but there's no separate listing for it. No problems with static. As others have said, this is a High quality, heavy machine. The plastic parts are so clear that when it was new I actually put the drawer in upside down twice! What a mess, the coffee was all backed up inside and took work to clean out. I finally put an X on the bottom to remind me.

While researching this more expensive burr grinder I read a tip that if you pick up and shake the cheap blade grinders while grinding you will get a more even grind without the powder that sticks at the bottom. I needed a simpler grinder for our boat so got a new one and tried this method. It actually works very well. So if this burr grinder is a stretch for your budget but you are fed up with your blade grinder, try this trick before you commit to the upgrade.
